Highlights
In the New Testament, we learn about the Gospel: the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. We also learn about how the Gospel was spread by the early disciples. Paul and Peter share with us that Jesus is alive and wants to be our friend!
Teaching Truth:
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Say This:
Who can believe in Jesus? I CAN BELIEVE IN JESUS.
Do This:
As you drive, take turns with your child naming things you believe. You may say, “I believe some trees are green.” Or you may say, “I believe birds can fly.” Your child will probably come up with all kinds of interesting ideas! End your drive by saying, “I believe Jesus wants to be our friend forever.”
Memory Verse:
“These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.”
JOHN 20:31, NIrV
FOCUS: Take a Closer Look

Our Bible stories this month come from the book of Acts. We see acts of faith in Jesus expressed through the early apostles. We learn about Paul’s conversion through faith and how his friends encourage him. Paul shows us that knowing Jesus changes the way you see others.
Teaching Truth
FAITH: Trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see.
Say This:
You can know Jesus even though you’ve never seen Him. Knowing Jesus changes the way you see everything.
Do This:
Q & A for kids: What is the craziest thing you’ve never actually seen, but you believe to be true?
Q & A for parents: What is the biggest change you’ve seen in someone because of their faith in Jesus?
Memory Verse:
“Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.” HEBREWS 11:1, NIrV
