Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
To Our C3 Trinity Dallas Family
We’ve all been following the news as reports come to us regarding Hurricane Harvey the disastrous impact it’s had on our friends and neighbors in Houston and the surrounding areas.
Below are some ways that we can each contribute to the relief efforts:
In the aftermath of a natural disaster, financial gifts can often be even more useful than donations of food or water in terms of getting help where it’s needed quickly! There are many reputable charities and relief organizations, so do your research and contribute as you feel led.
The Red Cross is at the center of the relief efforts in Houston, and they are recommended by the City of Dallas. There are several ways to give to the Red Cross:
1) Text ‘HARVEY’ to 90999 to make a $10 donation
2) Call 1-800-RED CROSS
3) Online at redcross.org
Another great organization is the Salvation Army. Donate here.
Additionally, the City of Houston has set up the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to accept tax deductible donations. The fund is administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
